Before I post the schedule of events for Alumni Weekend this year I wanted to recognize our undergraduates and Brother Whiteside for a great recruitment season this year. The chapter had ten new members accept bids, bringing the size to 23 active members. Attached are photos of the new members and our chapter, be on the lookout for these faces during homecoming!

Join us in celebrating 50 years of Kappa Hexaton! The Alumni Board and the Chapter are excited to announce our 50 year anniversary celebration. We will be hosting a weekend full of events, including the first annual golf tournament, celebration banquet, and the homecoming tailgate.
We can’t wait to see everyone and reminisce on all the amazong memories we’ve made together over the past five decades. Mark your calendars for October 20th-22nd and RSVP today to secure your spot!

Brothers! Through a collaboration between the chapter and the alumni board, we are excited to announce our first annual golf tournament. It will be held at the Debary golf & County Club on Friday, October 20th 2023.

Join brothers from across the globe as they come together to create a Life Loyal Brotherhood this Founders Day. Founders Day our Day of Giving is even more special because it takes place in the inaugural year of Life Loyal and we want to set new records to support all of our educational efforts!

Last Year Kappa Hexaton had an incredible showing with over $6,000 contributed to our annual Founder’s Day of Giving Campaign. We came in 3rd Place for dollars collected and 4th for Total Donors. Please join us again this year as and consider making a contribution here.

Brothers, At this years fall homecoming meeting we will be voting directors to the alumni board. Brothers who are interested in being involved and nominated for the slate are encouraged to reach out prior to Oct 31st to Brother Du Bosq via email. There are three board positions available and  up for election this year.

I hope this letter finds you well. Recently, I have been reaching out to alumni of our chapter, gathering information and recommendations to improve our outreach program. Last year, Brother Cavallaro published an amazing alumni newsletter that conveyed our current fundraisers, philanthropy events and on-campus activities. As a result, we were awarded a President’s Special Achievement Award for Communications at the 67th General Convention last month in Dallas.  This newsletter, will continue to provide insight on what is happening at Kappa Hexaton.

Our goal is to host many more events to engage alumni and have you look forward to returning to campus, even if it is just for a brief hello as you pass through town.  

This year one of our key rush initiatives is a Cardinal Dinner brought to you by our Recruitment Chair,  Brother Turner Grass. He has done an amazing job to ensure this is a successful and enjoyable evening. We would love to have as many alumni in attendance as possible. The dinner will be held on Thursday evening,  August 29th from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Table located at 100 E New York Ave, Deland FL.

We want to demonstrate to our potential new members that being a Brother of Phi Sigma Kappa is a lifelong privilege.

One of our newest ideas, and one which we hope will have a lot of meaning for the alumni and brotherhood, is the “Leave Your Legacy” engraved brick campaign. This program is being overseen by our alumni board. All donations are tax deductible. Our alumni board Treasurer,  Chris McLeod,  has done a phenomenal job overseeing this effort. When purchasing a brick an ideal layout would have your Name, KH-#, and your graduation year. We want our walkway to be as personalized as possible and is intended to be the focal point of our new landscaping project.  . The funds raised will help with some desperately needed home renovations. We are working with Stetson to improve the privacy of our property, make improvements to the chapter room, and increase the appeal to our house for our alumni and potential new members.
